Wildlife, etc.

Wild Bluebonnets - The State Flower of Texas.

And this Little Guy Hiding Amongst the Bluebonnets...

The Morning After Excavating the Tower Foundations,

I Discovered that a Furry Friend had Fallen into One of the Pits...

... It's a Rabbit!

I Dropped an Extension Ladder into the Hole and Went Down to Get him out but

he just didn't want to Cooperate! I Climbed back out to Go Look for a Box to Capture him in...

... When I Returned he had Vanished. I Thought he Must have Burrowed Down There Somewhere...

But Upon a Thorough Search - No Rabbit Anywhere.

The Only Possability - That Rabbit Somehow Must Have Climbed this Ladder 8ft Up and Out of the Hole!!

Visitors Arriving...

... and they are Hungry...

... and Thirsty Too!

Not the Best Picture...

but Last Spring I was Greeted one Afternoon by a Pair of Young Bald Eagles!

No Fear - Just Soared Right Over my Head about 40 ft Up.

Upon Investigating I Learned that they are Indiginous to my Area

and are Expanding as the Population is Steadily making a Comeback.

These are Remarkable & Majestic Creatures.

They are Apparently Nesting Nearby as I see them Often.

I am Awestruck Every Time I see them.

During the Day they Soar at High Altitude - Riding the Air Currents.

But in the Mornings & Evenings they often Glide just above the Treetops out Over the Fields.

I Hope to be able to get a better Photograph.
