I enjoyed operating HF mobile from year 2000 through 2011.

I am privileged to have made contact with many thousands of ham friends throughout the world during that time.

My mobile station became silent on April 2, 2011 when it was destroyed in a traffic accident along with my vehicle.

I was over 70% complete towards logging 6 Band mobile DXCC at the time of the accident.

Equipment

Transciever: ICOM IC-706mkIIg

Antenna: High Sierra HS-1500 Screwdriver (with 18 ft. extended whip shown in picture)

Amplifier: home brew 1.2kw

Power supply: 2 x 50 amp-hr lead acid battery
